25 - . Amending the error

At the beginning of the paper we consider not removing the gearbox and to focus to the chassis and the engine, even though the manual " Les archives du collectionneur " Triumph advised to remove the engine and gearbox assembly without dismantling .

“En principe, déposer ensemble moteur et boite de vitesses. Toutefois, cette dernière peut ètre déposée seule”

but not only the possibility of removing the engine arises .

But we got it . ( see 04 - . " Second day , went the beast" ) .

When we went to repair the clutch ( See 19 - . " Reunion " ) discovered with horror that the set screw of the yoke was broken thrust inside which also forced us to remove the gearbox from the chassis.

The joy at the work of Gonzalo to get get the big screw destruction clouded our minds . At this time we would have had to stop, reflect and address the " poyaque " and with the gearbox gaskets and seals out review !

Now once assembled we see that the box has a small loss of fluid change makes occasionally drop a drop of just oil onto the exhaust pipe , which , in addition to leaving a small stain on the ground when parked , brings a special flavor and worse loose a little smoke from the bottom of the vehicle that would not matter but it was because this happens stopped at a light when a group of admirers across the front of the car, instead of saying the usual "tHAT HANDSOME ! , you hear a sarcastic " SMOKE OUT " UNACCEPTABLE , so get to work .

1 - . Again play together
2 - . BECAUSEAS , full repair kit , shaft, synchros , seals and bearings.

... and we have all the material :

So again transmission bell out and back again.

MORAL: If someone follows my steps with her classic hope that it will not make the same mistake . When removing something better review it thoroughly.

This time it is to take the gearbox leaving engine in the chassis .

The manual says : “La boite peut ètre sortie sans nècessiter la dépose du moteur”. ... then get to work ,to see if it's true !
